101 Dalmatians

Last night since my husband was working late deciding to watch a movie. I chose something kid-friendly from our collection since the girl was still awake. I chose 101 Dalmatians since it seemed appealing.

I do love dalmatians and have quite a few stuffed animals and other figures. I also have 101 Dalmatians as well as the 101 Dalmatians and 102 Dalmatians live version. We watched the first live version last night.

My two-year-old seemed to enjoy it. It does have a lot of animals in it and plenty of action. It had been a while since I had seen the movie, so it was enjoyable to watch it again.

In the movie, dalmatians Pongo and Perdy meet in the park, instantly falling in love. Lucky for them that their owners, Roger and Anita respectively, also hit it off well and decide to get married. It’s not long after this that Perdy is expecting puppies and Anita is expecting a baby. Anita works for Cruella, who becomes obsessed with wanting a fur dalmatian coat. Cruella hires two bumbling crooks to steal the dalmatians she needs. They steal Pongo and Perdy’s fifteen puppies. Then an all out search by both Pongo and Perdy and Anita and Roger begins. Pongo and Perdy as well as the puppies are befriended by many animals during the whole dognapping ordeal.

The live action version is charming and fun. It’s worth it just to see all the adorable dalmatians. Who cares if some are computer-generated, they are still adorable.
